Church Army Africa

About Church Army Africa
Church Army Africa is a community of Anglican evangelists and missionaries who aim to equip the Church to offer hope and help to the poor, unreached, and rejected across Africa. We work through the structures of the Anglican Church in Africa to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in word and deed.

Currently there are about 500 commissioned Church Army Africa officers deployed in 10 countries in Eastern, Central, and Southern Africa. These change agents are working in the areas of community development, church planting, education, health care, peace building, and more!

We seek to develop men and women of competence, capability, and outstanding character for holistic Christian ministry among the impoverished, marginalized, and unreached.
Vision: A community of Anglican evangelists positively transforming society throughout Africa.
Mission: To identify, develop, and enable the human resource potential of the Church.

Key Objectives:

    • Primary Evangelism
    • Leadership Development
    • Community Care

Education: Training leaders and transforming lives is at the heart of Church Army's ministry. From nursery school to graduate level theological training, Church Army runs a variety of programmes aimed at equipping emerging leaders to bring positive change to their communities including:

  • A primary school with over 600 students, offering affordable and holistic Christian education.
  • Carlisle College – consisting of The School of Business Studies and the School of Theology. World Missions Graduates of Carlisle, serve in senior positions in church and society and work as missionaries, evangelists, bishops, pastors, educators, counsellors, and more.
  • Internship opportunities for local and international participants. From six months to two years, we offer several exciting and dynamic programmes to young and emerging leaders, concentrating on areas such as youth ministry, journalism, video production and cross-cultural mission.

HEAL: Across Africa there are challenges of poverty, disease, corruption, and conflict.
We are working to establish churches across the continent that communicate the love of Christ and offer HEALing through:
    • Health Care
    • Education
    • Access to justice
    • Leverage wealth creation
