Prayer

Pray for peace and stability during this time of uncertainty. There is political opposition to the current president standing for a third term in power (the current limit is two terms), and the date of the general election may be moved from December 2016 because all necessary preparations may not be in place to ensure a proper election. Pray that the leadership will remember that their God-given mandate is to serve the people and not self-perpetuate itself in power as an end in itself. Give thanks for the encouragement of the recent VISION Conference for the Diocese of Kinshasa, 19-23 September which brought together pastors, youth leaders and MU leaders.
