Nepal is facing one of its most turbulent times in recent history. Protests and unrest in recent days have led to tragic loss of life, widespread disruption, and deep concern for the future of the nation. Faith2Share has been in touch with our members on the ground, and we thank God that they, their families, and their communities are safe. However, they have been affected by curfews and severe travel restrictions, leaving some unable to return home to Kathmandu after visiting other parts of the country for consultations and networking with Christian communities.

We also reflect on the memorable visit made by members of the Faith2Share leadership team to Nepal as recently as March this year, gathering with local leaders. It was an uplifting supportive meeting, but clouds of political tension were already surfacing—tensions that have now erupted into a national crisis. We give thanks that, even in the midst of unrest, God’s hand of protection is over His people. Yet we are deeply aware of the pain, grief, and fear being carried by many families and communities across Nepal.

Please join us in praying for Nepal at this time. Pray that the new interim leaders will be able to restore peace and stability, and that the democratic process will be safeguarded. Pray for protection over churches and Christian leaders, that they may be instruments of reconciliation in the midst of turmoil. And above all, pray that our Lord will bring lasting hope and stability to the people of Nepal.
