Thanks to the generous response to our fundraising campaign, a recent visit back to Nairobi, Kenya, became a reality — providing a wonderful opportunity to meet with members and partners, and to strengthen our shared commitment to collaboration, discipleship, and leadership across the region.
We were delighted that Bernard Irungu, who joined the Faith2Share team earlier this year, is now firmly established and well connected within the wider Faith2Share community in Nairobi and beyond. His presence and relationships continue to deepen our engagement across Kenya.
During the visit, time was spent meeting with a range of our valued members and partners in and around Nairobi. Each encounter offered encouragement and inspiration as we listened, learned, and explored new ways to support one another in mission. Together, we reflected on how collaboration helps the Church to witness more effectively to Christ across Africa and beyond. One such meeting was with a delegation from the Anglican Missions Africa (AMA) pictured with Anton.
Faith2Share remains committed to nurturing these vital relationships and — finances permitting — we plan to hold regular fellowship gatherings in the region to continue walking together in faith and mission.
There was even time to step away from the bustle of Nairobi for a brief visit to Bernard’s home village, where we were warmly welcomed by his wider family — including his remarkable 120-year-old great-grandmother!
